This is a question I am asked multiple times a day. I almost always respond with the same answer:

Becoming a model isn’t an easy process. Modeling is a serious career that takes a lot of time, energy, and resources.

The first step is to do your research. I recommend checking out Plus Model Magazine’s Modeling 101 column. Once you’ve done that, I suggest getting some hands on training with Liris Crosse’s Life of A Working Model Boot Camp.
