3 Wardrobe Tips for Transitioning from Summer To Fall

While summer is still alive and well, I can’t help but look forward to fall fashion! When it comes to your wardrobe, transitioning between seasons can be a bit tricky! Today, I want to share three wardrobe tips for transitioning from summer to fall! I’m wearing head-to-toe maurices and I already know this is a look I’ll be wearing non stop for the next few months!

  1. Quality Essentials

Let’s talk about this denim, shall we? maurices is a new to me brand and I’m so happy I discovered them! I’m wearing their KanCan High Rise Skinny Jeans and they fit me like a glove! maurices has tons of quality fits and styles for bodies of all shapes and sizes! And can you believe that this pair is only $64?! When shopping for a transitional season, my main focus is finding quality essential pieces that will last! From the fabric to the construction, I can tell that this denim will absolutely last from summer to fall and beyond! These jeans come in sizes 14W-24W and in short, regular, and long hem length. I’m wearing a regular length 22W!

  1. Layering pieces

The easiest way to guarantee a smooth transition between seasons is to embrace layers! You truly never know what you’re going to get this time of year, so be prepared for weather to change at the drop of a hat! maurices has tons of great layering pieces that will have you looking cute and feeling your best anytime and anywhere. I opted for this flirty tank in a neutral color that can be cropped, worn down, or tied in a knot! And I added this pink hooded jacket for a pop of color and a lightweight option for fall or a chillier summer night. I paired all of this with classic white sneakers and a nude leather hoop that I know I’ll wear over and over!

The key to mastering your transitional wardrobe is having versatile pieces and a mindset to match. Each element of this outfit is adaptable for day or night, summer or fall. Crop that tank and roll those denim cuffs for a sweet and simple summer look! Or added a jacket and wear your jeans at full length when you need something a bit warmer! Learning to mix and match and experiment with my wardrobe is one of favorite things to do this time of year!

Hello beauties!!

I hope you are all having an incredible week! GUESS WHAT?!? I got engaged this past weekend!! Isn’t that wild? I am so happy and I will absolutely be sharing more about that super soon! I’ve been all over the place emotionally (read: I cried so hard that I laughed and I laughed so hard that I started crying again, lol), but one thing for sure is that I am thrilled! My friends and family keep saying “aww you look so happy! You’re glowing!” And it really got me thinking, joy is truly the best beauty secret and the best fashion accessory out there!

Now, we can’t always be in a state of euphoria from a recent engagement, but we absolutely can find other ways to feel good and get that joyful glow! One way I find joy is through a fun fashion moment and I really think this could work for you too! I’m excited to be partnering with LOFT to share three outfit ideas that always make me feel my best! LOFT is an amazing choice for everything from workwear to athlesuire to a night out on the town. And with a wide range of sizes (00-26), you can be even more happy knowing that you can share these ideas with most of your loved ones!

My first go-to outfit idea is also the most simple! I love to find a great pair of jeans and elevate them to the next level! For this look, I decided to go with a pair of cropped denim with a personality of their own! Then I opted for a cozy sweater look that is still appropriate for LA weather. Now the key to making this a feel good look is making sure you’ve got the fit just right! Jeans can be tough, but these double cuff fray skinny jeans curve around my hips and my booty just right – plus there’s lots of stretch!

My second go-to outfit idea that always makes me happy is a monochrome moment! Wearing similar shades of the same color is a tried and true way to instantly make your outfit chic! You can go for the jeans and tee vibe or you can up the ante and go with a more flirty take on monochrome style. I personally love the V neck and the ruffle shoulder detail! This adorable shift dress instantly stood out to me for it’s timeless aesthetic and its vibrant color! It was an easy decision to pair it with these picture perfect pink mules!

The last (but not least!) go-to outfit idea is a simple pattern on a dress or a jumpsuit. This is possibly my favorite go-to of the three and here’s why: A pattern instantly makes your outfit fun and interesting. I definitely suggest sticking to a simple pattern if that pattern will be covering the whole garment! Save your busy patterns for accents pieces like a head wrap, bag, or a tucked/cropped top! I’m such a fan of this jumpsuit not only for its pattern, but for its fun silhouette! A great outfit should be fun to wear and with the cropped wide pant leg and sneaker combo, it sure was!

Okay, so there’s this general rule of thumb in fashion that if you haven’t worn something in a while, then it’s time to donate! I usually agree with this statement, but this couldn’t be more wrong when it comes to the classics! Today, I am excited to be partnering with Macy’s and Levi’s to share the ultimate classic: denim! Denim was my first fashion love and there’s nothing like the feeling of slipping into a great pair of jeans! When I was shopping this Levi’s look, it felt like I was scrolling my way through a taste of American history! Levi’s is a brand we have seen over and over again; and there’s a reason it has made such a lasting cultural impression! From fit to fashion to feeling, when you slip on a pair of these classics you instantly get that young and carefree vibe!

The time has come! It’s time to put our winter coats in storage and slowly transition to our warmer weather wardrobe. It took a bit longer than we all hoped, but Spring has finally sprung and I, for one, am pretty hype about! I love dressing for Spring because it’s a perfect time to update your denim collection and who doesn’t want that?! Denim for spring isn’t necessarily groundbreaking *cue Miranda Presley voice*, but I do have a spring wardrobe go-to that has literally never failed me! I’ve partnered with my friends over at Macy’s to show off these amazing Celebrity Pink jeans and to share my spring favorite: white denim!

White denim is a spring staple for the versatility alone! You can create any look, vibe, or aesthetic that you want (okay maybe with the exception of a goth girl throwback)! One pair of jeans can take you from the mall to date night to church to the club. It’s all about finding the right pair of jeans!

So what do I look for in a good pair of white jeans? Well first and foremost, fit will always be the biggest factor in any shopping experience! I love that these jeans stretch and hug my curves in all the right places while still keeping shape throughout the day! I like to wear my jeans a little looser than average, but I definitely avoid any pair of jeans that is easily overstretched and made awkwardly baggy. These jeans held their fit for hours, providing stretch without losing their shape! Another thing that is super important when buying white denim is making sure that the fabric is thick enough and won’t turn see through in bright light! Who else has worn a pair of unexpectedly thin clothing only to discover too late that your whole butt is displayed for the world to see? Just me? Well, I didn’t have to worry about these jeans at all!

I had a blast styling these jeans two different ways! When you have good quality basics, styling is really about accessories. For my first look, I allowed the jeans to speak for themselves and kept my styling sweet and simple. A clean pair of white sneakers, a black and white striped tee, and an ankle cuff allows you to be comfy while still having that put together look! I wear my denim like this most days tbh, but sometimes you need to take it to the next level!

I was all about this pop of lavender for the second look! Lavender is a huge trend this spring and it looks great with the white denim. I decided to keep the black and white tee, switch up the shoes to these lavender slingback mules, add a suede envelope clutch to match; and viola, you’ve got a whole new look!
